

Today (March 14, 2025), Associate Professor Dr. Sarawut Paliphochon, Vice President of Walailak University, welcomed the executives, staff and local volunteers from the Nam Phut Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Mueang District, Trang Province, totaling 44 people, led by Mr. Wisut Saengsri, Mayor of Nam Phut Subdistrict Administrative Organization, on the occasion of their study visit to “Waste Management Using the 3Rs Principle and Zero Waste Management” at Walailak University.
On this occasion, Mr. Praiwan Koetthongmee, Acting Director of the Smart Farm and Landscape Architecture Center, along with staff from the Smart Farm Center and the Corporate Communications Division, welcomed them at the Khao Luang Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, Cooperative Education Building, Walailak University. The Smart Farm Center provided information on Walailak University’s waste management guidelines and then took them on a tour of the waste management system at the waste sorting plant, Environmental Standards Division, Smart Farm and Landscape Architecture Center, which was a visit to see actual waste management at the work site.
Mr. Wisut Saengsri, Mayor of Nam Phut Subdistrict Administrative Organization As the leader of the study tour, he said in part that “Bringing a group of local volunteers who love the world to study waste management at Walailak University, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province is a good opportunity. It creates awareness for the target group to manage it themselves within their households and expand it to the community level. Nam Phut Subdistrict has already started waste banks in 2 villages. The goal is to cover all 12 villages in the future. Thank you to Walailak University for providing knowledge and warm welcome.”
